Algihaz, in partnership with BGL Energy (formally BElectric Gulf), is proud to have been part of the team delivering the Layla, a 10MW capacity solar photovoltaic plant, located in the province of Al-Aflaj, 200 Km south of Riyadh in Saudi Arabia.

The solar installation, stretching over 720,000 square meters, is the first of its kind in the Kingdom – a renewable, large-scale energy production station connected directly to the nation’s electric grid. The Layla PV plant is capable of supplying 10% of local demand, saves approximately 4 million barrels of oil, and reduces carbon emissions by 1.7 million tons.
